So sorry to hear about Marianne. What a couple of impressive son's she raised. Sounds like they took good care of their mother to the end.
I remember her very fondly and wish her family the very best.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. I'd say "y'all" if you were here in Texas. I'm sad to hear about Marianne's passing. Life is a treasure--live it up! Looking forward to the 60s birthday party. I'll be coming just to see what people your age look like ;^). If any of you know about a chemical engineering job, our youngest graduates this May (3.95). Here's a video link about her trip to Malawi last summer, that will introduce you to her a bit (warning--religious content): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wejNAHiZ2qg. All the best and God's blessings in 2011.

Happy New Year's everyone! I am so sorry to hear about Sid and the Freitags. Will keep their families in my prayers.
I am looking forward to a calmer 2011! In 2010, I spent several weeks with my youngest daughter who was pregnant with #3, gets very sick during pregnancy, had gestational diabetes and tried to have little Miss Brynley 7or 8 weeks early. She managed to hang on two more weeks but Brynley managed to swallow amniotic fluid and was in the NICU for 8 days. She is doing well now, a tiny little peanut but she is thriving.
In between my stays in NLV, I spent as much time with my Mom and Dad as possible. I was with them when my Dad died on August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption...a perfect day if you have to lose someone. It was a hard time for all of us but in our hearts we all know, Dad was ready to go home. The rest of the year had hard times but for the most part we are all doing great.
Hope you are all well, hugs! Kathy

I am so saddened about the death of Sid. She was a very intelligent and kind human being. I send my deepest sympathy to her sons and her little grandson.
My sister, Phyllis, just informed me about the murders of Beverly(Beaver) Freitag and her sister Kathy. I guess there is never a explanation of why these things happen to good people. They had such a great close-knit family and they were loved dearly and will be missed terribly. My deepest sympathy goes out to their younger sister, Debbie, as she is now the last of the original family. I also send sympathy to the families of these ladies.

Kathy, you will be missed! I was hoping you would be able to come since we didn't see you last summer. :( Oh well, I know you will have fun with those grandkids - even if they do tend to wear us out! Take care.

I wanted to wish Tom Dineley a Happy 60th Birthday today. Most of us haven't seen him since our 10th reunion. He has refused all invitations to our reunions for reasons unknown. I have been in contact with his Mom for years and always visit her when I am in town. I am going to reach out to her and see if she can convince him to come to the party in July, but don't hold your breath. If he doesn't come, it's his loss. I know he would have fun just like we all do.
Anyway, Happy Birthday, Tom and best wishes for many more to come.

I just read Sam's email to Claudia about the earthquake and am so glad he and his family were spared the devistation. We were looking forward to the 60th Birthday party, but we have had plans for a year to be with my neice's family in Canadian, Tx for a few days during the 4th. They have two girls that participate in the rodeo, running barrels, and her husband participates in the Ranch Rodeo (wild cow milking, etc) It reminds us of the 4ths we had in Tehachapi when we were growing up; the parade, eating in the park with families and the rodeo's. We were there last year and promised to be back again this year. So we will be thinking of everyone and hope you have a wonderful (as if you wouldn't) time. I can't believe we are all going to be 60, I don't feel a day over......58 ! Have a blast!!!!!!!

I have been in Tehachapi for the last 3 weeks, Mom had a thyroidectomy 2 weeks ago and has had some complications and I cannot leave her until I know she is ok on her own. My husband is feeling like a bachelor these days!
I will try to check this sight more often! Hope everyone is well. Kathy

I wanted to wish our classmates, Nick. Dave, Leonard, Tim, Junior (Epi) and Grace for their service in the armed forces on this Memorial Day 2011. You fought for our freedom, and many others are still fighting to keep this country safe.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone of you!!
Freedom Isn't Free

I will be out of touch for the next month due to an extended vacation to the midwest. This trip will end up in Tehachapi for the big birthday party. Hope to see a lot of you there. If anyone needs to get in touch with me, ask Claudia G. She will have a contact number.
And for all of you who live close by--YOU better show up!! Randy Redelsperger, if you don't show up I am going to kick your ass. Look how long it took you to come to one of our reunions. That goes for the rest of you. I will do lots of ass-whipping.
Love you all
Connie

Well,I am finally home from 29 days on the road. Even though the party was cancelled, I did have a mini reunion with Becky and Phil Smith on their 41st wedding anniversary. They, Claudia and Chuck Elliott and Carrie Guinn and I had dinner at the Fez. What is amusing is that it is in what use to be my Dad's Chevy garage. What a hoot!! We had a great time. We then took pix at the new train depot. Thanks guys for the fun evening. Also thanks to all who sent birthday wishes on my big 60!! Love to all!

So much for checking the sight more often, it has been 5 months since I was last on here. Hope everyone is doing well. I was back in Tehachapi 3 weeks ago, Mom is still having medical issues but I think she is finally on the mend, fingers crossed! I was not able to meet up with any friends, unfortunately, maybe next time.

I, for one, Eli, have to admit that I do take quite a few naps these days! Hope everyone has a great Turkey Day and you get to eat as much or, as little, as you want. I know I have lots to feel thankful for (turning 60 is only one of them!) and I hope all of you do too. Take care and stay healthy! love, Donna

Right on, Donna! I love my naps. I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a great day and lots of good food and fun with family. I wish all of you would try and write a note once in a while and tell us how you are and what you have been doing since the reunion. It only takes a few minutes.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
